Pet Insurance for More Than One Pet

If you have more than one pet then it's a good idea to search for multiple pet insurance. Taking out individual pet insurance policies with different insurers is expensive and time consuming- which is why we recommend that you consider insuring multiple pets with one insurer.

Discounts for Additonal Pets

The majority of pet insurance firms will offer you a discount for each additional pet you add to the policy. The discount could range from as little as 5% right up to 40+% depending on the number of animals and the insurers policy.

We do recommend, however, that you compare individual pet insurance policies before you commit to multiple pet insurance with one firm as it could end up being cheaper depending on the discounts and who you choose to insure with.

Animal Breeders

If you breed animals then you need to look for an insurance company that offers free cover for the offspring of any pet who you already have insured. This can get around the problem many breeders have when they need to insure the animal despite selling them relatively quickly after they are born. It also means that if there are any post-birth problems then you will be covered under the parents' insurance policy.
